Opening Reception: Facial Marks: Aesthetics & Function In-Person

Facial Marks: Aesthetics & Function An exhibition featuring works by Folasade Adebowale, Halima Abubakar, and Sunday Chukwu

Marks, especially on faces, have symbolic, aesthetic, and functional meanings among the various tribes of Nigeria.

The work of these artists in painting and photography capture what is a disappearing element of life in Nigeria.
