Opening Reception: Facial Marks: Aesthetics & Function In-Person
Facial Marks: Aesthetics & Function An exhibition featuring works by Folasade Adebowale, Halima Abubakar, and Sunday Chukwu
Marks, especially on faces, have symbolic, aesthetic, and functional meanings among the various tribes of Nigeria.
The work of these artists in painting and photography capture what is a disappearing element of life in Nigeria.
Join us for the Opening Reception with curator and City College alumnus, Chukwuemeka Bosah, along with special guests.
